Cited his fear of policemen as the reason he never learned to drive a car; a person who doesn't drive can't be pulled over and given a ticket! (His father once sent the young Hitchcock with a note to a police station, where he was subsequently locked in a cell for 10 minutes. The police officer told the young Hitchcock, "This is what we do to bad little boys.")
Originally wanted his tombstone to read, "This is what we do to bad little boys." But the inscription eventually read, "I'm in on a plot."
